Bunaíodh Gaelscoil Nás na Ríogh sa bhlian 2002. Bhi 23 daltaí ar scoil ar an gcéad lá agus bhí an príomhoide, Anita i mbun ranga.
Bhíomar suite i seomra réamhdhéanta ar thalamh an CLG ar feadh dhá bhliain. I 2004 fuair an scoil aitheantas buan agus bhogamar go seomraí reamhdhéanta in aice le Meánscoil Naomh Pádraig agus bhíomar ann go 2008.
I 2008 fuaireamar an scéal go mbeadh scoil nua á thógáil dúinn i gCnoc an Phíobaire agus bhogamar go seomraí reamhdhéanta in aice leis an suíomh tógála. Faoi dheireadh bhí ár scoil nua réidh agus bhogamar go foirgneamh nua aimseartha i gCnoc an Phíobaire i mí Bealtaine 2009.
Beidh níos mó ná 420 dalta sa scoil i mbliana.
Gaelscoil Nás na Ríogh was founded in 2002. On the first day there
were 23 pupils on the roll and the principal, Anita, had charge of the class.
We were situated in prefab classrooms on the old GAA site for two years. In 2004 the school received permanent recognition and moved to prefabricated classrooms situated on the grounds of St. Patick’s Community School (now Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara) and we remained there until 2008.
In 2008 we received the wonderful news that building had commenced on our new building and we moved again to prefabs adjacent to the construction site at Piper’s Hill. At last our new school was ready and we moved into our modern school building in May 2009
There will be more than 420 pupils in the school this year.
